WedSnap provides private wedding photo and video galleries that allow couples to collect uploads from their invited guests.
References to WedSnap, we, us or our in this policy refer to the operator of the WedSnap service.

Information we collect
Depending on how you use WedSnap, we may collect:
- names, email addresses and account login information;
- wedding or event names and dates;
- gallery settings and account activity;
- guest names and optional messages submitted with uploads;
- photographs and videos uploaded to a wedding gallery;
- payment status, PayPal order references and transaction identifiers;
- referral-offer and checkout-session information;
- contact-form messages and support correspondence;
- technical information needed for security, fraud prevention, sessions and service operation.
WedSnap does not need guests to create an account before uploading to a gallery.
How we use information
We use information to:
- create and operate wedding gallery accounts;
- receive, organise and display authorised guest uploads;
- allow couples to download their collected media;
- process and verify payments;
- prevent duplicate transactions, fraud and misuse;
- provide account, technical and customer support;
- maintain the security and reliability of the service;
- meet accounting, legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell wedding photographs, guest information or customer information to advertisers.
Lawful bases
The lawful basis used depends on the purpose of the processing. This may include:
- contract, where information is needed to provide the service purchased by a couple;
- legitimate interests, where information is needed to secure, maintain and improve the service;
- legal obligation, where records must be kept for accounting, taxation, disputes or regulatory requirements;
- consent, where consent is the appropriate basis for a specific optional use.
Wedding photographs and guest uploads
Couples control who receives their wedding gallery link or QR code. Guests should only upload material they are entitled to share.
Uploaded photographs and videos may contain personal information about people shown or heard in the material. Couples and guests should consider the privacy and wishes of other people before uploading, downloading or sharing those files elsewhere.
WedSnap processes uploaded media to provide the gallery service. It does not claim ownership of customer or guest photographs and videos.
Payments
Payments are processed through PayPal. WedSnap does not receive or store a customer’s complete card number.
We retain payment references and status information needed to confirm purchases, prevent duplicate processing, investigate problems and maintain financial records.
PayPal processes personal information under its own privacy documentation and terms.
How long information is retained
Wedding gallery access is designed to remain available through the wedding period and for the stated post-wedding access window shown within the service.
WedSnap currently provides gallery access for up to 21 days after the wedding date. Couples should download all required photographs and videos before access expires.
Media and temporary technical files may remain for a short period while automated deletion, system maintenance or backup rotation completes.
Account, payment, fraud-prevention, accounting and support records may be retained for longer where needed for legal, tax, dispute, security or operational purposes.
Different records can therefore have different retention periods.
Security
WedSnap uses technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal information and private gallery media.
These include measures such as:
- controlled access to uploaded media;
- protected account sessions;
- encrypted HTTPS connections;
- restricted configuration and credential storage;
- payment verification with PayPal;
- monitoring and measures against unauthorised access.
No online system can guarantee absolute security. Customers should keep account passwords and private gallery links secure.
Your information rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to:
- ask whether personal information is being processed;
- request access to personal information;
- ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
- request deletion in appropriate circumstances;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to certain processing;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
These rights are not absolute and can depend on the information and reason it is being processed.
