Requests you can make
Depending on the circumstances and applicable data-protection law, you may ask WedSnap to:
- confirm whether your personal information is being processed;
- provide access to personal information held about you;
- correct incomplete or inaccurate information;
- delete information where an appropriate right applies;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- provide certain information in a portable format.
Wedding gallery photographs and videos
A photograph or video may relate to several people and may have been uploaded by a wedding guest on behalf of the couple.
Where possible, requests about a specific photograph or video should include enough information to locate it, such as:
- the wedding or event name;
- the wedding date;
- the file or gallery location;
- a description of the relevant image or video;
- why the requester believes it relates to them.
WedSnap may need to consider the rights of the couple, uploader and other people shown before deciding how a request should be handled.
Customer account deletion
Customers may request deletion of their WedSnap account and associated gallery information.
Some records may need to be retained after account deletion where required for accounting, taxation, payment disputes, fraud prevention, legal obligations or the defence of legal claims.
Deleting an account may permanently end access to the gallery and its download tools. Customers should download all wanted files before requesting deletion.
Automatic gallery expiry
Wedding galleries are time limited and currently remain available until 21 days after the wedding date.
Automated expiry is separate from an individual rights request. Customers who need earlier removal should contact WedSnap.
Temporary files or backup copies may take a short additional period to disappear through maintenance and backup rotation.
Identity checks
WedSnap may need to confirm the requester’s identity before disclosing, changing or deleting personal information.
This protects customers and guests against unauthorised requests. Only information reasonably needed to verify the request will be requested.
How to submit a request
Submit the request using the WedSnap contact form.
Include:
- your name and contact email address;
- your relationship to the wedding or gallery;
- the wedding or event name and date;
- the type of request being made;
- enough detail for WedSnap to locate the information.
Do not send an account password, complete card number or unrelated identification documents through the initial contact form.
Responding to requests
WedSnap will respond as required by applicable data-protection law.
More information may be requested where a request is unclear, complex or cannot be connected securely to the requester.
A request may be refused or limited where the law permits, for example where it would adversely affect the rights of another person or where information must legally be retained.
